Sales are picking up at J.Lynel and I'm happy to say I have some fun things in the works as we speak. I've been trying to schedule in time to create because I have lots of ideas swirling around in my head. I'll definitely update you when they become a reality. (Hopefully very soon!)
I just read an article about a couple who quit their day job and support their family with etsy. It's so inspiring to me when people do this and I love to read their stories. The one thing she mentioned that jumped out at me was to believe in yourself. I think this simple statement is so encouraging because sometimes it's hard to be confident but it really pays off.
I was in the bank wearing one of my new headband designs this weekend and one of the women there commented on how much she liked it. So instead of being shy I stepped out and told her I made it and that I sell online! She and one of her friends both ended up taking my card.
I'm so glad I have the opportunity to share with people things that I love and I'm so blessed to have a God standing behind me pushing me along and encouraging me to believe in myself. Love you all!
xoxo J.Lynel
P.S. I want to get to know new etsy people and chat about etsy things so feel free to chat it up :)
Thanks for the encouragement. Love you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your upcoming wedding, and I hope you get some good sales from the people at the bank!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for not being shy! I find this is my biggest difficulty to over come. I've avoided the promotions forum on etsy for a while because I feel like a show-off, going and promoting my own things. But there is just so much out there, no one will just happen to find your stuff... you've gotta show 'em!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and encouraging post!
great post! Have a wonderful Day, regards, T. :)
ReplyDeleteSleightGirl -- Thank you so much! I hope I get a sale from them too :)
ReplyDeleteSamantha -- I can be so shy also and I feel like I don't want to just talk about me but it def. works haha :)
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments!
Congrats on the wedding. I enjoyed reading your blog. I need to follow you in stepping out of my comfort zone and handing out cards. I just can't wear what I make so it isn't as easy to get an opening to do so.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Just stick with it. The worse thing they can say is no right? lol. I also have had a lot of luck using twitter and facebook. Good luck and happy selling :)
